Y-methylacryloyloxy propyltrimethoxysilane

Y-methylacryloyloxy propyltrimethoxysilane

γ-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH-570, A-174, CAS:2530-85-0) is methacrylate functional silane coupling agent, colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid. It contains free-radical polymerizable methacrylate double bonds and hydrolyzable trimethoxy groups. Hydrolyzed silanol can form chemical bonds with glass fiber, silica powder, aluminum hydroxide and other inorganic fillers, while methacrylate groups can copolymerize and crosslink with unsaturated polyester, acrylic resin and polyolefin. It significantly improves mechanical strength, wet electrical property and water resistance of composites, widely applied in glass fiber reinforced materials, UV curing systems and inorganic filler modification.
