Y-methylacryloyloxy propylmethyldimethoxysilane

Y-methylacryloyloxy propylmethyldimethoxysilane

γ-Methacryloxypropylmethyldimethoxysilane (KH-572, KBM-502, CAS:14513-34-9) is methacrylate functional silane coupling agent, colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid. It contains free-radical polymerizable methacryloxy double bonds and dimethoxy hydrolyzable groups. Compared with trimethoxy KH-570, it features milder hydrolysis and better storage stability. The methyl group on silicon improves the hydrophobicity and flexibility of finished materials. Hydrolyzed silanol can bond with glass, silica powder, aluminum hydroxide and other inorganic fillers, while double bonds can copolymerize and crosslink with acrylic resin, unsaturated polyester and polyolefin. It optimizes filler dispersion and enhances mechanical, water and weather resistance of composites, suitable for low-shrinkage and high-toughness formulations.
