3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy) propyltrimethoxysilane

3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy) propyltrimethoxysilane

3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyltrimethoxysilane (GLYMO, KH-560) is a classic epoxy-functional silane coupling agent, colorless transparent liquid. Its molecule contains hydrolyzable trimethoxy groups and reactive epoxy groups. Trimethoxy groups hydrolyze into silanol to bond with hydroxyl groups on inorganic substrates such as glass, powder and metal, while epoxy groups can crosslink with epoxy resin, phenolic resin, polyurethane and other organic polymers. It greatly enhances the interfacial bonding between inorganic and organic phases, improves mechanical strength, water resistance and wet electrical performance, compatible with both solvent-borne and water-based systems.
