3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy) propyltriethoxysilane

3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy) propyltriethoxysilane

3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyltriethoxysilane (GLYEO, CAS:2602-34-8) is an epoxy-functional triethoxysilane coupling agent, colorless transparent liquid. It contains reactive epoxy groups and hydrolyzable triethoxy groups. Ethoxy groups hydrolyze more gently than methoxy groups with better storage stability, and the hydrolysis byproduct is ethanol. Silanol groups can bond with inorganic substrates such as glass, metal and inorganic powder, while epoxy groups can crosslink with epoxy, acrylic, polyurethane and other organic resins. It significantly improves interfacial bonding strength, hydrothermal resistance, salt spray resistance and electrical insulation, ideal for systems requiring high hydrolysis stability.
