3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy) propylmethyldiethoxysilane

3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy) propylmethyldiethoxysilane

3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy)propylmethyldiethoxysilane is an epoxy-type diethoxysilane coupling agent, colorless transparent low-viscosity liquid. It contains reactive epoxy groups and two hydrolyzable ethoxy groups. Compared with trialkoxysilane, it features moderate crosslink density and lower viscosity increase in formulation. Ethoxy groups hydrolyze slowly to offer longer pot life. Silanol can chemically bond with glass, metal and inorganic powder, while epoxy groups crosslink with epoxy, polyurethane and acrylic resins. It balances adhesion, hydrothermal resistance and flexibility, suitable for formulations requiring controlled crosslinking and low shrinkage.
